First Report–Peru November 13

Greeting from Lima, Peru!

My flight to Peru was uneventful. I landed in Houston and my flight on to Lima was already starting to board. Our “adopted” son and daughter, Antonio and Debora Meca, were there to greet us and take us to our hotel. To my pleasant surprise I was given the penthouse suite! God is good!

Last night (Friday 11/8), following having spent the day in prayer and preparation, was the first of two sessions of the “Signs and Wonders in the Marketplace Evangelism Workshop” in Zarate’. Unfortunately, due to extremely heavy traffic, a normal 45 minute ride took about two hours, and I did not arrive until almost 8:30 for a 7:00 workshop. I had planned to cram three hours of material into two, and wound up with only an hour to work with. But we wound up seeing at least three people receive salvation, and a whole bunch of people coming forward to be empowered by the Holy Spirit to be witnesses, as explained by Jesus in Acts 1:8.

Today I will have lunch with our workshop host pastor, Jose’ and Raquel Vicente, who also are our first “adopted” son and daughter in Peru, then will go to their church for the second session of the workshop. The rest of my itinerary is posted below.

I remember why I said after my last solo trip why I didn’t want to come here without her again. I miss her so much! Thank you so much for praying for me while in Peru, and for Marsha while she remains at home.
