When I woke up this morning I recalled that the Word of God promises health and healing, because Jesus Christ already paid for it as the ultimate sacrifice. If it’s already paid for, then it’s mine, not because I deserve it but because, out of His love, He appropriated it for me.
If it’s already paid for, then I can do no less than accept the gift. To do otherwise would dishonor the gift and the Giver of the gift.
What does that mean to me? You may already know that, according to my orthopedist, my knees are both bone-on-bone and I’m facing knee replacement to get any real relief. HOWEVER, since my healing has already been paid for, my knees must come into alignment with the Word of God and manifest the healing that’s already mine.
Marsha and I have a history of having been healed…she of terminal cervical cancer and a viral infection that was destroying her brain cells, to name a couple. I’ve experienced miracles of healing of ulcers and a kidney stone, to name two of my experiences.
Just as David recalled his past victories over the lion and the bear before he took on Goliath, I recall these past victories to build up both my faith and yours. In Jesus’ Name, I am healed! And the same promises that belong to me are yours, too.
